Fall is here so I hope everyone had a great summer! I was a little resistant to change up the shop's window until I saw the always beautiful colors of Fall at the craft store so...I will miss you lobster lights!

With the changing of seasons comes some changes here at the shop including two new soap lines! Sapone Vegetale and Greenwich Bay Trading Company who join Savannah Soap Kitchen. All soaps are plant based and do not include any animal products nor does the process of making them include testing on animals. Yay! I love soap! 

The next change a comin' is making available custom herbal blends from my very own index card/post-it-note array of recipes which I recently realized is quite a collection over about 9 years. Creating recipes is hands down my favorite part about hanging out with herbs, it is a never ending learning process. 

Yesterday I put together a blend for yeast infection treatment. The blend can be used both internally/externally and consisted of Juniper Berries, Goldenseal, White Oak, Uva-Ursi, Garlic, Parsley, Slippery Elm. I also recommended the Pau D'arco Herb Pharm Tincture and one of my favorite all around remedies, Apple Cider Vinegar. Other herbs that are recommended for yeast infection include Blessed Thistle, Chaste Berry, Cinnamon, Cleavers, Dong Quai, Ginger, Rosemary, Sage and Time. It's always great to have choice with herb blends because every 'body' is different.
