The mission of Chrissannthemum to the Rescue is to help as many animals as possible utilizing net profits from Chrissannthemum, LLC sales and public donations. Our ultimate goal is to open an animal sanctuary that will welcome domestic, farm and wildlife animals for rehabilitation and/or, sanctuary or hospice care, especially senior animals and animals with special needs. Funds go to purchasing food and supplies, medical treatment including TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) and helping rescues, individual rescuers and pet parents who are in need of assistance taking care of their furkids. Animal rescue organizations and individual rescuers are not charged for the herbal remedies sent to them. Beyond your Chrissannthemum purchase, you can contribute by making a donation that will go towards food, litter, and supplies in our pet pantry and medical fund.

Effective and successful animal rescue is time consuming, expensive and requires a lot of resources and networking. Whether by purchasing Chrissannthemum products, donating funding, fostering, adopting, transporting and/or volunteering you are making a huge difference in the lives of those who need our help for a wonderful quality of life, or dignity in times of sickness and hospice care.

You can follow Chrissannthemum to the Rescue on our Facebook Page and Instagram.

Thank you!
Christine

Henry 'Tank' the Cat

Picture
Henry 'Tank' the Cat was a cat who was suffering on the streets of Northeast Philadelphia. He was wounded and was finally trapped by the woman who found him, Mercy. Christine answered Mercy's plea for Henry (he was originally named Tank because after he was trapped Mercy only had a fish tank to put him in) and in that fish tank Christine transported him to her Veterinarian where Henry was operated on for his neck wound and dental issues. Henry had a few bumps in his road to recovery, tested positive for FIV, and remained at the Vet's office for a month where Christine would visit him every day to work on getting him to trust humans, as it was suspected Henry was either abused and/or attacked by an animal. The rescue All Souls Connected joined in to help him from the beginning and raised money for Henry's care. Through that time Henry gained quite the fan club and so a Facebook page was created to keep his supporters updated on his progress. On Christmas Day 2015 Christine and Mercy surprised one of the founders of All Souls Connected by delivering this special feline gift to her, she would become Henry's furever Mama. Henry lived life surrounded by love for 3 months until he fell ill and journeyed to the Rainbow Bridge. As we say, it took a village to save Henry, turned out he had gained a small city. He liked to Google.

Saving Jersey City Kitties

Picture
Saving Jersey City Kitties is a volunteer effort Christine co-founded in 2011. What started out as going to help someone set up a feeding station turned into her meeting about 40 cats on just one block who needed help in many ways. Through the help of a few volunteers and support of some neighbors, most cats have been spayed/neutered, some have found homes, are in foster care, some we have lost to disease, age, and cars, and others have been returned to their group where we make sure they have food, water and shelter, and offer them caring oversight and of course love.  We consistently work to keep the population under control through TNR (trap, neuter, return).
